Jan. Warm Up…

So…….. this is… the story of the few days in Houston…

5:00 p.m… I grab my stuff and we all pile in the car. After 2 false starts, we finally make it out the driveway, and we’re off to Houston! The trip down was pretty uneventful, and I didn’t get to stretch until 3 hours later.

8:30 p.m… uh, WHERE IS THE PLACE?! We got all got really mixed up and David and I were telling daddy to turn the wrong ways, etc. So, after all those “wonderful” directions, we ended up in, shall we say, undesirable places…

9:00 p.m… We’re finally there! We check in, submit our scripts, and head over to the kitchen for some bluebell ice cream! Yum! We then get our ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ARC t-shirts (thank you, to NathanE.).

5:00 a.m… **yawn** **stretch** **gets up**

7:00 a.m… After a night of next to zero amount of sleep (for me at least), we’re finally driving away to the church.

8:00 a.m… we’re there!

(rest of week…) The first round of the first day, I went and watched BethM and JonathanM debate. They are great debaters. The rest of that day was… “normal”. (and hey, I’m not saying that the debate was not normal, y’all!) The next day passed… and I think that the last day was the BESTEST!

While the TP finals round was going on, a few of us ARCers went wacky… yeah, I know. (and for those of you who don’t know, Mountain Dew is a dangerous product to drink at 8:30 at night… ) lol! The award ceremony was extremely fun, as well.  DavidH got 8th place in LD! Woot! Go David!!! Christina got 1st in Apologetics, and 4th in LD. Beth got 11th (I think) in TP speaks… and… I don’t remember who else got what. So, over all, the tourney was most AMAZING!

After the whole tournament was over, some of us went and had a ballot party which was fun.

And so that was the 2010 January Warm Up tournament!
