So, I just heard the results of the January Warm-up Tournament in Houston Texas from my great friend Paul Adkisson. I’ve been monitoring the tournament fairly closely (thanks to Paul), and have been praying a LOT for my friends participating down there.
After hearing the results, jumping up and down cheering my face off, I decided to write a nice little post congratulating everyone. Here it is.
You know, during my time at ARC, and with all my friends at tournaments, one thing has absolutely astounded me. The humility. God is in control at these tournaments, and pretty much EVERYONE I know understands that. That makes for some of the most amazing life-changing experiences for so many people. The duty is ours, the results are Gods. Sometimes we lose, and God brings to us once again the realization of how not-in-control we are. Sometimes, God gives us victory, after victory, after victory. But whatever happens is for His glory.
But some people… are just plain TOO humble.
I’m not saying there’s ANYTHING wrong with it, but, you people that did well, God is probably trying to tell you something through your victories. How about “I can do ALLLLLLL things THROUGH CHRIST, who strengthens me!”
You people- and you know who you are- I challenge with this:
NEVER doubt your abilities when your cause is noble, and your attitudes are right. When your priorities are straight, and when God is on your side, ANYTHING is possible. Do not doubt the power of God to work THROUGH YOUR LIFE.
You know… sometimes “I told ya’ so” just… doesn’t quite say it.
Other then that, today I “finished” (please note the quotation marks) my OO, and ran through my ENTIRE duo with James for the FIRST time.
(Yay for small victories, and productivity!) God is working in my life right now… but, it’s taking time. As always, I appreciate any prayers from y’all.
